The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is Available in San Angelo, TX

For decades, Jeep was known as a manufacturer that exclusively produced SUVs. But in 2020, they unveiled their first truck, the Jeep Gladiator, to big success. For the 2023 model year, Jeep is looking to add even more to the Gladiator's design with some new updates, so let's find out what they are.

What's New for 2023?

Few changes are made to the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. A new limited-edition Freedom package on Sport S trims offers a military-themed exterior to honor US armed forces. This package also offers a special steel front bumper and rock sliders. Also new is a Capability package for the High Altitude trim. This package includes a winch-capable, steel front bumper, steel rock sliders, and a front off-road camera.

Performance

Two engines help power the Jeep Gladiator. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 285 horsepower and uses a six-speed manual transmission. The other engine is optional, and it's a diesel-powered turbocharged 3.0-liter 260 hp V6 that comes exclusively with the eight-speed automatic transmission.

As for its hauling and towing capacity, Ozona and Ballinger drivers will find this truck can tow an impressive 7,650 pounds and carry between 1,105 and 1,700 pounds.

Technology

Across the four trims of the new Jeep Gladiator are various features. Three touchscreens are available, but only the larger 7.0- and 8.4-inch displays come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other available features include a 115-volt outlet, a navigation system, heated power mirrors, and a nine-speaker audio system.

Safety Features

Jeep always offers their models with a suite of advanced driver-aids. Coming equipped on the new Gladiator are safety features which include adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and a blind-spot monitoring system.
